They are used for the rapid transfer of unsorted municipal waste from the collection (kuka) vehicle to high-volume containers.
The waste is pressed into these containers through the stationary press unit and its transport for further processing (sorting line, incinerator, etc.) is thus made maximally efficient. The estimated compression ratio is up to 5:1, depending on the actual composition of the waste. Transfer stations are generally located in a suitable location and at a suitable distance from the municipality or in a catchment area for several municipalities.
Municipalities, cities, and waste management companies.
